2009 In Review









For the first year in in Charlotte and not a bad one, Elite 75 Prep hosted the Under Radar Camp. Purpose of the camp was to find hidden gems and that we did. It didn't took camp directors long to find 2010 6'7 SF Jeffrey Parker from Stocksdale, NC. This long creative prospect caught the scouts eyes with numerous dunks and put backs.  Quickly gaining attention in the Charlotte area and sure to do so by coming back and attending school is 2010 6'2 Combo Corey Raley-Ross. Raley-Ross who has a handful of mid major looks came for the last game of the day and showed why he will be taking seriously come High School time. Another combo guard that showed flare was 2011 6'1 PG/SG Jacoby Davis Jr from Charlotte, NC, no newcomer to the exposure circuit Davis showed get to the rack ability and an array of scoring. Two other gems that caught our eye was the backcourt duo of 2010 5'10 PG Dewayne Brown from Charlotte, NC and 2010 6'1 SG Christian Farmer from Charlotte, NC. Both shot the ball extremely well. Farmer also had so powerful fast break dunks to finish off the breaks.  Someone who knows Elite 75 Prep very well is 2010 5'10 PG Gerrad Brace from Lancaster, SC. Brace has made a name for himself by attending all of our fall camps and here again rose to the challenge of the under radar camp with stellar play. Schools have started combing the area for 2010 6'3 SG Jamal Mitchell from Charlotte, NC. This prospect had a great camp by shooting the ball very well and even was caught slashing the middle for a couple of one hand bangers. South Carolina native and the teammate of TOP 10 SF Luke Cathron, 2010 5'10 PG Nigel Dixon from Rock Hill, SC pushed the ball with poise all day long. By zipping passes or creating off the dribble, this PG package can play. Big man award of the day hands down goes to 2011 6'8 PF Javon Pressely from Charlotte, NC. He flat out dominated inside dunk after dunk. Not to mention a list of block shot to match. Want to see a deceptive player then watch 2011 6'3 SF Robby Van Landen from Charlotte, NC. Van Landen killed all day using the fundamentals of basketball and scored in bunches while doing it.  Checking in with us was also out of towner 2011 6'2 SG Chris Cheeks from Richmond, VA. Cheeks demonstrated a very smooth game and hustled on almost every single play. An unstoppable guard that was viewed during the camp was 2010 6'2 PG Jamar Simmons from Charlotte, NC. With size and quickness it was hard to stop Simmons from getting to the rack when he wanted to and that was often. Not often do we have Post Grads at these events but we were happy that 2009 6'8 Gregory Sanders from Concord High, NC checked us out and showed us the big men can handle the ball well also. Known for his streetball talents Sanders gave the camp a treat and the scouts. Being sideline with an injury most of the camp 2011 6'1 PG Rodney Cobia from Charlotte, NC showed us in the second game with two quick dazzling dunks why those just sitting on the sidelines are not just spectators all the time. Another Elite 75 alumni 2010 6'0 PG Damien Lineberger from Winston Salem, NC was also in attendance. He had a great drill session, but had to leave early due to a knee injury. In this camp we were able to catch some good underclassmen talent early before our September and that's rare for us.  Quickly noticed was 2012 5'9 PG/SG Eric Wolford from Rock Hill, SC by way of Maryland and it showed. Wolford is crafty and can get to the basket. After reviewing the camp film the kid can flat out shoot also. Double sported 2012 5'8 PG Anthony Spicer from Fayetteville, NC showed his court toughness by play some of the best hustle defense in the camp. was able to get a couple of tough rebounds and knock down some tough outside shots against some good comp. This player shinned in our 2008 Middle School Camp last year and now comes back as a rising freshman ad hasn't skipped a beat. 2013 5'8 PG/SG Nehemiah Stafford from Warrensville, NC. Nehemiah is tough and it shows. Very scrappy and fundamental and has excellent court awareness and vision.
